Silas has a problem. Well, as a wizard Silas has dealt with many problems, the most persistent being his cat Bundersnoot's perpetual demands to be fed. Of more immediate concern is the wound he received from fighting a vampire last summer. Silas doesn't know if he's at risk of turning into a vampire, or even how much time he's got, but the festering black wound on his arm certainly isn't healing and he's got no time to waste.
Silas and Bundersnoot will have to hit the road to find answers, leaving their cozy home in Elade-voc behind. Following along is their new companion Waif, a child of indeterminate gender who they rescued from the clutches of an evil cult. Now is not the best time to become a caretaker, but the gods never saw fit to make Silas's life easy. Their quest will take them from the Braelor Mountains to the plains of Losanti in a race against time. Across Amastica is a novel filled with fantasy adventure, found family, and just a dose of silly.
