FC-150 NOTHING takes us back to a simpler time than old iron. Rather than modelling the FC-150 after the original, the Jeep underground crew sourced a vintage 1960 Forward Control body and plopped it on a Wrangler TJ chassis. It features an assortment of dings, dents and scratches from a bygone era, but finds modern utility in a pair of Dynatrac axles (front 44; rear 60), BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain tyres and 17-inch steel wheels. An inline 4.0-litre six-cylinder keeps the old girl’s progress slow and steady, and the original interior sports a vinyl bench seat, manifold burritos, a clunky glovebox and a pack of Camel smokes. SHORTCUT JEEP should have called this one JK-5, as it has the look and feel of a 1970s CJ-5. The base chassis is a two-door Wrangler with 660mm…
