30 YEARS AGO – MARCH 1995 The fishing mecca of Weipa featured highly in this issue of the magazine when our fishing scribe, Scott Amon, spent a bit of time there catching a wide variety of fish. Of course, his fishing column for the month was all about barra. Today you can even more easily sample the great fishing that Weipa and its nearby coastline has to offer. Other destinations visited in this issue were Welshpool in NSW and, at the opposite side of the continent, we had a trek to Pago, north of Kalumburu in the distant Kimberley.
