WHEN it was introduced back in 2020, this latest generation of D-MAX led the midsize ute category with an unrivalled suite of safety features, but with some competitors introducing new models and others upgrading their utes, the pack has well and truly caught up. To combat the competition and to maintain strong sales (D-MAX was Australia’s third best-selling vehicle overall in 2023 behind Ford Ranger and Toyota HiLux), Isuzu has updated and refined its D-MAX package. COVERING BASES THE 2024 D-MAX range comprises 26 variants including models with single-cab, extra-cab and double-cab passenger compartments, cab-chassis and styleside bodies, 4x2 and 4x4 drivelines, and the choice of 1.9-litre and 3.0-litre diesel engines.
