Fast forward to now and the feeling of driving the new Triton GLS is familiar, but it’s come a long way in terms of refinement, space and features. At 5-foot 2-inches, I appreciate the side steps and grab handle that make it easy to climb in the cab, and while the push-button start took me a while to get used to, most of the dials around the cabin are easy-to-use analogue ones, and I still prefer these over having everything operated from within the infotainment screen.
