Planning a wedding and a house renovation at the same time would be a daunting prospect for most. However, when Lauren and Dave Ward decided to buy their first home together, they were unfazed. ‘We’d lived in a small flat for a while and wanted a house large enough for us to start a family,’ says Lauren. ‘We spent three months narrowing down the area we wanted and began looking for properties that needed renovation.’
