Vibrant Newcastle lured Dawn Dunn away from the coast to a home near the city’s Metro line

After many years of living by the sea, and with several successful property renovations under her belt, Dawn Dunn was drawn back to city life following her divorce. ‘I grew up in Newcastle and wanted to be closer to friends and within easy walking distance of restaurants, theatres and cinemas,’ says Dawn, 55, a marketing manager, who has two sons, Hugh, 25, and Fergus, 23. ‘As I knew which road I wanted to live on, I put letters through all the doors. I then I got a reply from a couple who needed a quick sale on their Victorian property as their buyer had pulled out just as they were due to move.’ Things happened fast and, as soon as the sale went through, Dawn was on the case bringing in…
