Christa Ellis’ search for a new home was spurred on by the desire for a project to mark a new chapter in her life. ‘I was looking for a period property that I could decorate from top to bottom and put my own stamp on,’ explains Christa, ‘but I knew I didn’t want to take on any major structural work as that would be too much on my own.’ She spotted this three-bedroom Norfolk cottage for sale in her dream location. ‘I wanted to live in the countryside but, at the same time, be close to a bustling town.
