A fellow elder prayed in private for me on February 16, 2014, saying, "Lord, give my brother a new bone marrow." I was given a bone marrow disorder diagnosis by a hematologist the following day. It was true-this astounding news devoid of any clear indication or symptom. I had acute leukemia that was aggressive. Three times, the Lord gave me concrete assurances that I would be healed and that the illness would not recur (Nahum 1, 9). Proactively, the hematologist made arrangements for my hospital admission in Florida. Then, right away, a knowledgeable oncologist started chemotherapy. There was a fall alert sign on my chart since I was so weak. Regretfully, I defied it one evening, stumbled, and struck my head, producing a sound like a popping Styrofoam container. Whatever something was, it clearly deflected this fatal strike. A week later, I was in terrible pain in the nape of my neck. My carotid artery on the left side was cut. God revealed the enormous aneurism that was the outcome just in time, following two weeks of excruciating anguish. I was booked for surgery at a partner facility, where I had a successful recovery in the intensive care unit. It was a life-changing event from which God delivered me. After overcoming, I asked for and was given a second choice because I wasn't enrolled in the previous hospital's bone marrow transplant program.
