Could have more content.

As a bi monthly magazine it could use more content to balance out the marketing. Like teaching observation skills for good horse care. Teach girls how to rasp a hoof chip, clean the bean out of their gelding. Why horse pee looks orange/red in the snow. Real horse skills. Why not to equip young girls with practical knowlege? Horses can be very dangerous.
The girls are supposed to write letters via postal services, their answers to games when the answers are in the magazine- duh. As opposed to having the answers the next month.

Good for novice riders especially

The best mag I have found for novice riders who aren't horse owners and are focusing on their horsemanship and ride mastery.

Enjoyable but infrequent

My niece enjoys it. Disappointing that it used to be 6 issues a couple years ago but now it is 4 issues for the same price.

I would purchase this again for her,

My young granddaughter (7) is very much into everything horses. She loves this magazine, has not let it out of reach for a moment. She allowed me to look at it and read the articles. I must say I learned some very interesting facts about shampooing horses.
