A drean getaway at your fingertips

I want a timber home in the mountains so badly that I can almost taste it. And the timber home styles I want, I find in the pages of Timber Home Living. The choices of homes for THL are remarkable in that THL features the highest taste-level of home-owners without resorting to out-of-reach, pseudo-chic trends. At least, that's how I see it. I fantasize about living in a timber home in northern New Mexico or southern Colorado. I want trees and a mountain view and a national forest and neighbors a half a mile away--but I want my creature comforts, too. Will I ever literally have any of this? I highly doubt it. But, in the meantime, I'm like a little kid each time my new issue arrives. And, well, I guess I have that fantasy for a little while. At least until the next issue arrives.

BEST timber frame magazine on the market!

We love, love, love this magazine...'cause it's all about timber frame homes, our favorite! We're able to get lots of ideas from each issue for when we are ready to build our own timber frame in a couple of years. Keep those issues comin', Timber Frame Living! - Doug & Cindy

Wonderful if you are considering building a Timber Home

Love this magazine, especially after reading it for many years and now being able to plan our own timber-frame construction home. Excellent resource and one of the best, and only, magazine available that I know of with craftsmen, kits, home builders, floor plans, photography, tips and more. Love this magazine and couldn't do without it!

Nice photos

This magazine has beautiful photos but not enough substance. In addition, it has too many ads

If you're planning a near-term build only

It's ok if you're truly thinking of building very soon. It's not too much fun if you're not. A lot of builder ads.

Yes definitely

Always a good magazine. Probably the biggest thing I don't like are a lot of advertisements for packages and plans. If your buying as a subscription you get tired of all the ads for house packages, month after month. But articles are very informative. Good for log home people, hybrid log/timber houses, anyone interested in this type of construction.

Need more information on some of the featured homes

This is the first time I've bought the magazine and was very excited to check it out since my husband and I are planning on building a cottage for our retirement. I actually found a picture on page 48 of the perfect home, at least on the exterior, for us...but when I went to find out more information on it there is none. No true description of the layout, not even where we can find more information such as a website for the builder or floorplan designer. They do not even say how many beds/baths it is. Just a picture with a vague website saying nothing yet claiming it's under 1000 ft. If they don't know anymore about the home (i.e. Perhaps a drive-by snapshot) then how can they possibly know it's footage? I've very interested in a home similar to this and would really like more information, please.
