I have read Road & Track religiously for 50-some years and am really disappointed with the new direction. Fewer cars, longer articles, more photos, more high design, more attention to style than substance. I am actively in the market for a new car and do not read Road & Track for that purpose any longer. The editors have positioned their product to a smaller, more economically advantaged audience, and they've left me in the dust bin. I continue to subscribe because I can get R&T dirt cheap, but it's the first of many car magazines I get that I throw away.
The best written and most visually impactful magazine for driving enthusiast culture. Excellent car reviews, but the best articles dive deeper into the history and culture of driving and racing.
I have been reading Road & Track since 1958 when I started dreaming about sports cars. It's always been a fun read because it encourages my dreaming... about maybe spending half a million dollars on a car! (Imagine the insurance premiums!) They are sometimes criticized for writing about exotic cars, but I say, "If you're going to dream, dream big."
I first had a '59 TR-3, then I restored a '57 Austin Healey 100-6, and my last was a '97 BMW Z-3. All were fun cars.
All the while reading R&T... for dreaming (and learning a few things as well).
I still like it for dreaming... for the most part now.
Has great photos and a nice classic style. Also has a little more racing and human interest stories vs. just straight car reviews when compared to some of the other major auto magazines.
Very complete and a lot of info
Very good, lots of racing coverage and some classic cars.
Good mag for enthusiast. Good writers.
Great mag, plenty to read and less ads.
Great pictures and car performance info
Love this magazine very informative. I would like to rate this 10/10.
