The ability to form metal accurately is one that is useful to anyone building a special. Chris Whitworth, whose Yamada supermono special featured in last month’s magazine had plenty of occasion to cut and fold sheet steel and aluminium in the creation of his bike. Being a resourceful type and with a great capacity for thinking things through and getting a job done, Chris designed and built his own metal bender. As someone who is generous with his time and knowledge, Chris shared the design of his device with us and gave a demo of its uses.
