Kawasaki ZXR400 Easily a match for the Suzuki when it comes to bad-assery, the Kawasaki ZXR400 is more plentiful in the UK thanks to being the only sports 400 officially imported over a number of years. Unrestricted, too. There are eight variants, split across two styles. The H of 1989 and 1990 have a slabby look as per the ZXR750H; the 1990-1999 L1-9 400s copy the classic ZXR750J; there was never a 750 L-style or ZX-7R-ish 400. Like the GSX-R400, the ZXR400 also feels like a smaller version of the 750 – the same slightly breathless engine feel, same gnarly airbox growl and the same rock hard back end and pitchfork usd telescopics at the front. Same glorious level of madness, too.…
