Max Biaggi fan Peter Kent has some previous when it comes to building replicas of his idol’s bikes. Regular readers will recall Peter’s tribute to the Roman Emperor’s Yamaha YZR500 that has previously appeared in these pages. Now the 59 year-old construction planner has built a Biaggi-themed four-stroke as a partner for his blue-smoker. This bike mimics the last Yamaha Biaggi rode in the premiere class; a 2002 YZR-M1 from the first year of MotoGP. Peter sourced a YZF750 to use as the donor bike. “It was a bit of a mess,” he says, “although it only cost £850.” Peter stripped the bike down, leaving the engine in the frame and cleaning around it.
