Anyone attaining the age of road-riding legality in the mid-1990s would have had a Suzuki GSX-R750 SRAD in their sights. So it was with Dean Young, who at 38 years-old now would have been 17 when his GSX-R was new. “I rode one when they came out but thought it was a bit slow,” he laughs, “So I went and bought a 198bhp GSX-R1100L with nitrous instead.” A 750 SRAD finally joined his collection in 2011. “It was mint and totally standard with just 21,000 miles on the clock. I had planned to keep it that way then the idea hit me to turn it onto a replica of the XR0 racebikes,” says Dean.
