Sure not like it used to be. But I don't care about high tech stuff. Bring back flying cars and how to build a boat in my garage stuff for this old timer.
I am all thumbs about repairs so this magazine is perfect for me.
Pages have gotten smaller so have they decreased the print or just cut out articles? Guess it's ok but not sure it's still worth the money.
This magazine has changed a lot over the last few years. It is not nearly as good. More Popular Science than mechanics. Not nearly the do it yourself info and projects like there used to be. This will probably be the last time I renew and I've been receiving it for about 45 years.
I've been reading Popular Mechanics for over 30 years and plan to continue reading it for a long time to come.
Very unhappy with magazine...it is NOT the magazine it use to be
Great magazine and a must for the ADD minded individual with a wide and varied interests.
I wrote to Pop mech back on 1/29/2014 to stop continuous service. I still have my hard copy. Pop mech is still sending me magazine that I can no longer read easily due to small print all run together.
I have read this magazine since I was a child; long, long ago. I've also subscribed a number of times. After most of a lifetime of making things, fixing things, and tearing things apart, I'd have to say that a number of my ideas, and ultimately the techniques used to produce them, were either provided by, or at least fueled by, articles I read in Popular Mechanics. Would I be lost without the magazine? No! But I would not have become as accomplished at mechanical things if I'd not had it around, nor would I have had as much fun.
