About ImagineFX
What happens when an artist, video effects specialist/developer, and a writer come together? You get a storied science fiction video game with captivating art. ImagineFx magazine offers deep dives into a dense web of illustrative video programs that have decorated our screens and soared our imaginations from an early age. The magazine is especially suited for present and future digital fantasy and sci-fi artists who hold a passion for conceptual art, character drafts, and so much more.
History of ImagineFx:
First published in January of 2006, the magazine’s primary focus is on illustrative workshops that are found in the second half of every issue. Concept artists, designers, and visionaries have regularly pitched their two-cents on their thought process while also providing useful tips for the next great digital artist. Some of those artists Ryan Church (costume designer, concept artist, and world-building architect for Star Wars and Star Trek), Alan Lee (Illustrator for J.R.R Tolkein’s Centenary Edition of Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit), and Larry Elmore (Concept Artist for Dungeons & Dragons) to name a few.
Content:
ImagineFx subscribers can expect content galore with multiple insightful workshops, best practices, and an eclectic mix of in-depth workshops from the world’s best artists. Readers will also be exposed to galleries, interviews, community news, and of course, product reviews. If you are interested in any edition from September 2012 and later, you are entitled to the magazine issues AND digital video tutorial downloads with Q&A resource files. Issues before September 2012, do not have these features.
