1 Before you set foot in the shower, distribute a small blob of hair oil all over your head with a paddle brush, says hairstylist Nathaniel Hawkins (if you have fine hair, confine oil to the ends). Give it about 10 minutes to sink in, then shampoo and condition as usual. 2 Use more silicone than a Playboy bunny. Prep damp hair from roots to tips with a heat-protectant spray containing silicone.
