The Death Doula

Marki Hartwell is a death doula. Aiding people as they exit this world isn't just her job, it's her calling. Unfortunately, being a doula has cost Marki her girlfriend Paula and their future together. When a hospice notification informs Marki that a patient named Franklin is dying alone-with no family, friends, or neighbors to comfort him-Marki sets off in the worst storm she's ever seen because no one should die alone.

Franklin's house is difficult to find, as if hidden from those who seek it, but after a few false starts she finds her way. The door to the house is open. Waiting for her. But it never occurs to Marki not to enter. The house is home to the dying man Franklin Singleton. It's also home to Franklin's dreadful legacy. Riddled with the ghosts of his victims and the victims of his father before him, the house itself is a nightmare.
