Nathan Leeman, Yuven Nawat, Bradley Murphy, Carlton Williams, Ashwin Tifflon, Charne Johnson, Antonio Bailey, Ivan Ruiters, Romano Witbooi, Cheslin Spannenberg and a 15-year-old laaitie appeared in the dock.
The group is charged with murder, aggravated robbery and malicious damage to property.
During proceedings, it was revealed that the state had appointed a senior advocate to handle the matter and the case was postponed to 13 July for formal bail hearings.
Outside court Abongile’s friend, Thobeka Pikini, said they are drawing up a petition to keep the suspects behind bars.
“We will invite Dunoon people [to sign] because we know he was a peaceful guy and we believe maybe that people from Parkwood, not the people who were involved, will do the same.”…
