Critical Race Theory (CRT) is dividing the evangelical church. This book provides a concise analysis of CRT for the evangelical Christian. It is written by concerned Presbyterian pastor, Larry E. Ball, M.Div.
One important feature of this book is that it presents the meaning of the word "equity," which is a key word used a great deal in this debate. Unfortunately, though it sounds like a great concept, few people understand what it really means.
The book also tackles the issue of whether the concept of race is real. It takes a contra-position to the popular idea that race is a social construct. It also deals with the root of CRT which is found in what the author calls a new religion - the concept of Neo-Marxism (Cultural Marxism).
The book concludes by showing why the modern evangelical church is unable to confront this new religion, and what is needed to combat this dangerous enemy. A must read for the concerned evangelical Christian.
