I was born in Harlem, New York, on March 31, 1966, and later moved to Long Island, NY, at the age of three. Growing up, I spent my summers in Harlem and the Bronx, from the ages of seven to fourteen, at Camp Minisink on 142nd and Lenox Ave.
I became a dad for the first time in 1990 to my daughter Audenzia. My son Shaheem was born in 1991, followed by my youngest daughter, Jalisa, in 1996. In 2000, my youngest son, Jason Jr., was born. Additionally, I gained a bonus son, Jason Rowe, when I married his mother, Michelle Hamer Alexander.
