The book in your hand is a simplified version of the original Bhrigu Samhita. The original volume is an astrological classic written by Maharishi Bhrigu thousands of years ago during the Vedic Period in a tone, manner and language with which the present day readers are not familiar with. While the theme and substance remains unchanged, the vocabulary and sentence structure has been simplified in this book for everyone to understand easily. We are aware that the man, by nature, is very inquisitive to know what the future has in store for him. The contents in Bhrigu Samhita satisfy that urge. Prepared from about five lakh horoscopes of different people, Maharshi Bhrigu made predictions of their current and future lives as well as the past. Each of these horoscopes was based upon the planetary positions of the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Rahu (North Node of the Moon) and Ketu (South Node of the Moon). Readers of the book will be able to understand the meaning and importance of the terms used in astrology, such as Birth chart, Horoscope, House, Zodiac, Rashi, Stars in motion, Sun, Planetary movements etc, in their everyday life. The book has 25 chapters based on 'Laghu Parashari' principles and written in the form of 42 Shlokas that describe basic rules, effects of planetary positions and their influence on a human being.
