Free apps like bSafe and Companion let you text friends and family you’ve assigned as your “guardians” with the touch of a button, plus send out a link where people can track your route via GPS! Take pics of your route! If you’re in an unfamiliar place, take pics with your phone of interesting sights as you walk. You’ll have photo “breadcrumbs” to help lead you back! Leave your itinerary with friends! Include a written plan with maps, any hotel info, stops you plan to make and contact numbers. Check in each day to update them on any changes.…
