Daar is in die koers van 5 000 naaldekokerspesies, en asof dit nie genoeg is nie, is hier onlangs nóg een op Forever Swadidni ontdek. Die oostelike knipstertjie is ’n baie seldsame en skugter soort naaldekoker, en is pas by Swadini afgeneem deur Antoinette Snyman. Dit is, sover bekend, die eerste oostelike knipstertjie wat in Suid-Afrika afgeneem is, berig die dagblad Beeld. Twee larwes is glo voorheen in die land gesien – een by die Oribiravyn en die ander by die Nkomatirivier. Die oostelike knipstertjie kom in Zimbabwe teenaan die grens van Mosambiek voor. Dit is die eerste keer in die jare sestig beskryf.…
