Die tyd het dalk aangebreek dat die private sektor en 4x4-geesdriftiges wat omgee, meer betrokke raak en beheer neem wanneer dit kom by bewaring, sê Mic van Zyl.

“Daar is ongelukkig ’n deel van die 4x4-gemeenskap wat hulle sleg gedra en die hele gemeenskap in ’n slegte lig plaas. Ek was nog altyd gaande oor Namibië. Ek was baie opgewonde daaroor, maar dié toer was ook vir my eintlik bittersoet: Dit sou my laaste reis met my FJ Cruiser wees, want hy moet binnekort vervang word.
