Local materials were used to bring the outdoors in, but much of the existing old-world charm of the original building has been preserved – like its sensational curving staircase and detailed facade. The rooms – just 10 of them, across three floors – offer a soft palette of the lightest grey, the blushest pink and the chalkiest white, with the views beyond bringing in a splash of bold colour.
