When a rider finishes a stage in a separate group, he’s given the same time as that group’s first man across the line. Should he be delayed by a mechanical problem or crash in the final 3 kilometers he’s given the same time as the group he was with when the incident occurred. PRIZE: €500,000 to the final winner. GREEN JERSEY (sponsored by Škoda) This is the jersey that rewards consistency and is worn by the leader of the points classification, the rider with the highest number of cumulative points.
