Their individual character and the challenge they invite. Creatively, it’s their underlying graphics and the way they cut space.
Most memorable day in the outdoors?
On 3 November 1990, I spent a day with my father climbing Ben Starav, where we lingered on the summit until sunset and I shot my first significant panorama. It was a defining moment in my life, which helped focus my mind on what in photography was trivial and what was fundamental.
