“Worst thing you've ever eaten? Raw whale meat in Greenland – yuk!” What’s the highest mountain you’ve climbed? Probably the Gondogoro La in the Karakoram at 5550m – not a mountain but a pass. Who’s your mountaineering hero? The Duke of Abruzzi – one of the great pioneers of early mountain exploration. What do you love most about mountains? Their individual character and the challenge they invite. Creatively, it’s their underlying graphics and the way they cut space. Most memorable day in the outdoors? On 3 November 1990, I spent a day with my father climbing Ben Starav, where we lingered on the summit until sunset and I shot my first significant panorama.
