DAY 3 9 NC619269 From the bothy continue around to the head of the loch recrossing the rivers crossed on the first day. Where the path forks, bear right to follow it north-west along the shore of the loch. Continue past a woodland plantation, cross a wooden bridge over the Allt na Ba and bear left off the track. Climb roughly north up a seemingly interminable grassy slope; there is no path but the going underfoot is good. Pass a small cairn and gain the broad, rocky ridge. Head north-west along the ridge, soon reaching a stone memorial commemorating the victims of an air crash. Continue climbing steadily for 1km to the rocky summit of Meall Ailein (724m).
