The Week Junior talks to winning chef

Season eight of the Fox competition series Master Chef Junior ended in June. Sixteen contestants competed, and the winner was Liya Chu from Scarsdale, New York. When the show was filmed in 2019, she was 10 years old. (It didn’t air until 2022 due to the pandemic.) The Week Junior’s Junior Council member Olivia, 9, spoke with Chu, now 13, about being on the show and her love of making food. Olivia: How did you get into cooking?
