In this week’s issue we are building excitement for Read Across America Day on March 2, which kicks off National Reading Month (p12). The goal of this nationwide event sponsored by the National Education Association is to celebrate reading, which is also our mission at The Week Junior. To share in the celebration, we have created a map featuring middle-grade books that take place in every state in the US plus the District of Columbia. Which book represents your state, and which books set in other states would you like to read?
