Scientist Adam Rutherford is the author of Where Are You Really From? It was the winner of the STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) prize at The Week Junior Book Awards in 2024. The book takes readers on an extraordinary adventure through millions of years of human history, explaining all about evolution, race and the story of how the human species came about – from prehistoric times to the present day. It is British Science Week (7–16 March) and Rutherford tells The Week Junior that there are lots of different types of scientists but they all share a common goal.
