US cuts its military aid

The US government suspended all military aid to Ukraine on 4 March. The decision will affect deliveries of weapons, vehicles and other equipment to the country. The US did not say how long the pause will last. A US government official said, “We are pausing and reviewing our aid to ensure that it is contributing to a solution.” Since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the US has supplied equipment worth about £52 billion, including missiles, helicopters and tanks.
