Good morning, jurors, and welcome to what may be the most important civic role you perform as a participant in this great democracy. Since this case, Just Staying In v. Meeting Up with Rob and Those Guys, is a civil case, your job as a juror is to weigh the merits of the evidence presented by the plaintiff against that of the defendant. Both sides have stipulated that all you have in the fridge is a zucchini, half a bell pepper, and a thing of almond milk. The zucchini is the yellow kind that you think sort of tastes like soap.
