The perpetually rebuilding Ducks badly need a FLOTATION DEVICE to avoid a league-high seventh consecutive season under water. Anaheim hasn’t been above water – or a points percentage of .500 or better – since 2017-18. And that’s a more dubious distinction than you’d think. Since the advent of the ‘loser point’ in 1999-2000, an average of just 10 teams finish “under .500” every season, including just seven teams in 2019-20. Anaheim has a .420 points percentage since 2018-19, worst in the league. The Flames need an EXTREME MAKEOVER in more ways than one.
