THE QMJHL’S WILDCATS ARE known for their blue-and-red uniform combination, so seeing them leap outside the box this season with their special alternate ‘Blackout’ jersey is cool. Moncton’s primary wildcat logo moved to the shoulder (where the usual golden cat is now red) and was replaced with a savage set of claw marks, a smaller version of which has been used on the back of the team’s sweaters. The sheer size of the new front crest is ostentatious in the best sense of the word. And just to add to the theme, Moncton went with matte-black helmets, also with red claw marks on the side.
