NO TEARS WILL BE shed for Don Sweeney, Jim Nill or Julien BriseBois, whose task it was to assemble this Canadian squad, but no national-team brain trust faces greater expectations. Recriminations will be plentiful should Canada fail to win gold or, worse yet, fall short of the final. The rule of thumb with any Canadian roster is that conversation invariably turns to those who were left off rather than those who made the cut. However, the difference in profiles between the two camps, particularly in the forward corps, is perhaps the most instructive and unquestionably most interesting regarding the direction Sweeney and Co. have taken in assembling this version of Team Canada.
