OWNERSHIP TOM STILLMAN THE CHAIRMAN AND CEO of Summit Distributing, a St. Louis-based beer distributor, Tom Stillman entered the business in 1994 after previously working as a lawyer. He bought a minority stake in the Blues from Dave Checketts in 2007, then purchased majority ownership of the franchise – along with local partners Jerald Kent, Donn Lux, James Cooper, Jo Ann Taylor Kindle, Steve Maritz, Edward Potter, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Taylor, David Steward, Jim Kavanaugh, John Danforth, Christopher Danforth, Jim Johnson III, Scott McCuaig, John Ross Jr. and Tom Schlafly – for about $130 million in May 2012. Stillman has been able to maintain an all-local ownership group and preserved that in July when Steward sold his partial ownership stake to Michael W.
