OWNERSHIP JAMES DOLAN LIKE HIM OR NOT, James Dolan, the controversial sports-and-entertainment czar, is still rocking the business. In his decades of power, the executive chairman and CEO of Madison Square Garden Sports, MSG Entertainment and Sphere Entertainment Co. – whose futuristic $2.3-billion Sphere in Las Vegas is thriving, with another Sphere on tap in Abu Dhabi – has enjoyed financial gains in a variety of venues. The 69-year-old native of Long Island, N.Y., who controls the Garden (which hosts about 320 events a year), the Rangers and NBA’s Knicks, Manhattan’s Radio City Music Hall and the Beacon Theatre, has an estimated net worth of between $2 billion and $3 billion.
