There were seismic shifts in Columbus, beginning with the hiring of former Carolina GM Don Waddell to replace both president of hockey ops John Davidson and GM Jarmo Kekalainen. Waddell fired coach Pascal Vincent, traded Alexandre Texier, bought out Adam Boqvist and left Jake Bean without a qualifying offer. He also juggled a raft of free agents and hired a new coach in Dean Evason, who faces a big cleanup.
