BY THE TIME THE 2024-25 season starts, perhaps the Florida Panthers will have recovered from the hangover. Not the Stanley Cup hangover – the actual one that comes with the pounding head and the nausea and the vowing to never, ever drink again. Maybe by that time, the good people of South Florida will stop looking at them funny as they stand shirtless on the side of the road holding up a big, shiny trophy. The Panthers celebrated their first championship in franchise history with gusto, to be sure. Their coach, Paul Maurice, was both magnificently articulate and incredibly profane. It was glorious. Whether the Panthers can keep Stanley a Florida Man for the fourth time in six years will come down to whether or not their core, which they did…
