Despite holding a master’s degree in business and economics and spending the last decade working in advertising, the world of art has always held a particular fascination for Dipali Gupta. However, she found it challenging to pursue her creative ambitions while climbing the corporate ladder, and realised that life was passing by quickly.
“A constant state of anomie, where my values were challenged by empty corporate ambitions, became a stepping stone to finding my way back to my creative self. I summoned up the courage to relinquish my sizable pay checks and start afresh,” says the now artist.
