Silky Chocolate Pie We have a family that just loves chocolate pies, and this version with a splash of brandy is smooth as silk and oh, so special. —Kathy Hewitt, Cranston, RI Prep: 25 min. • Cook: 15 min. + chilling Makes: 8 servings 1 sheet refrigerated pie crust⅓ cup sugar¼ cup cornstarch2½ cups half-and-half cream4 large egg yolks6 oz. semisweet chocolate, finely chopped3 Tbsp. Cognac or brandy1 tsp. vanilla extract TOPPING 1 cup heavy whipping cream1 Tbsp. Cognac or brandy1 tsp. confectioners’ sugar Baking cocoa 1. Unroll crust into a 9-in. pie plate.
