One of Gruppo Fipa’s brands, Maiora has recently presented the new Maiora 30 Convertible an elegant 30.60 metre elegant yacht featuring a particular fly-bridge. This yacht is referred to as Convertible because this deck comprises a covered area when needed which is also equipped with AC/DC, but also as an open space thanks to lateral window like ports and glazed door which open completely. Codecasa has begun building a new 58 metre, construction C127 “on spec” which has been scheduled for delivery in Spring 2023. The yacht has been designed by the yard’s in house project design team led by Gianluca Imeri and Pierluigi Ausonio’s studio. Have you asked yourselves how ships or a submarine or a seaplane are designed? You’ll probably think project design work is computer produced to resolve fluid dynamic problems. After all are we not living in a world which is forever getting more and more dominated by technology in terms of digital and virtual applications? But reality has another surprise in store for us. Why is it that a test tank or basin can’t be less than a football pitch and the little “models” used for R&D are 4.5 metres long and more at times? Wouldn’t things be easier and cheaper to test 50 cm models in a tank which is the size of a swimming pool? Certainly everything would be considerably easier but the results would not be at all realistic. In other words the numbers produced this way with such small models would be perhaps useful to place at a gaming table. After the recent lockdown FIPA Group kicked off with two out of five launches scheduled for this 2020 season. The first yacht to hit the water went in on July 4th .It is the new Maiora 35 Exuma which was entirely built in the Group’s shipyard in Massa – Italy. This is a 35.10 superyacht designed to maximize spaces on board with a decor featuring carefully selected material and colour schemes so to offer a welcoming relaxing atmosphere. Have you asked yourselves how ships or a submarine or a seaplane are designed? You’ll probably think project design work is computer produced to resolve fluid dynamic problems. After all are we not living in a world which is forever getting more and more dominated by technology in terms of digital and virtual applications? But reality has another surprise in store for us. Why is it that a test tank or basin can’t be less than a football pitch and the little “models” used for R&D are 4.5 metres long and more at times? Wouldn’t things be easier and cheaper to test 50 cm models in a tank which is the size of a swimming pool? Certainly everything would be considerably easier but the results would not be at all realistic. In other words the numbers produced this way with such small models would be perhaps useful to place at a gaming table. Dutch Damen Yachting shipyards launched “La Datcha” an expedition luxury yacht from the SeaXplorer line on July 8th.This brand is renowned for its supply vessels aimed at mega and gigayachts.The yard began to produce SeaXplorer yachts in 2015 which were designed to appeal to dedicated yachtsmen who like explorer luxury yachts.The in house design team availed itself with precious contribution from the Damen Research Laboratory,Azure Yacht Design and EYOS Expedition. The 77 metre “La Datcha” is the second unit launched of the explorer line, it features interiors by architect Vasiliy Shprits to host up to 12 guests in total comfort and a crew of 25.This yacht is destined to carry charter parties in remote areas like Kamchatka, kuril Islands and Papua New Guinea. After the recent lockdown FIPA Group kicked off with two out of five launches scheduled for this 2020 season. The first yacht to hit the water went in on July 4th .It is the new Maiora 35 Exuma which was entirely built in the Group’s shipyard in Massa – Italy. This is a 35.10 superyacht designed to maximize spaces on board with a decor featuring carefully selected material and colour schemes so to offer a welcoming relaxing atmosphere. Maiora 35 Exuma can reach a top speed of 35 knots. It is powered by three 1,900 HP engines and as many hydro or water jets. At 11.30 a.m. on Saturday July 18th the new Codecasa 55 Construction C123 hit the water from the Viareggio shipyard.This new Codecasa 55 is a four decker with an LOA of 55 metres. It has been entirely designed in house with interiors by the styling department and precious input from the owner company’s architect studio.The yacht has been named “Framura” and takes after the sober looks and discreet elegance typical of the Tuscan shipyard both outside and in where a lift connects every deck to one another and is ready to offer maximum comfort during long cruises for which it has been built. In actual fact many shipyards have continued to work while complying to the norms so as to deliver their newly built yachts on time.
