MY ROOM... ABOUT ME I’m Samantha Howard, 32, a beauty therapist, and I live with my flatmate, Peter, in a two-bedroom new-build flat in Anerley, southeast London. I bought the flat as part of a shared ownership scheme in August 2015. MY CHALLENGE When I bought the flat, all the fixtures and fittings were chosen by the builders and the place was painted white throughout. The kitchen area needed to have some character and to feel slightly separate from the open-plan living space. MY WISH LIST I wanted to add a touch of colour and pattern to the neutral scheme and display my favourite kitchen accessories.
