Wut. Sie bahnte sich durch den gesamten Laden. Meine Mutter stand mit meiner kleinen Schwester und mir in einem Supermarkt. Ich war damals 13 Jahre alt, meine Mutter alleinerziehend und das Geld immer zu knapp. Sie versuchte darum, zu sparen, wo es ging, und überprüfte alle Rechnungen. An dem Tag entdeckte meine Mutter einen Unterschied auf einem Beleg. Es wurde zu viel Geld abgezogen. Sie fragte nach. Die Kassiererin ignorierte meine Mutter mit dem Satz, sie solle warten. Wir warteten. 20 Minuten später auch noch. Als der nächste Kunde seine Ware auf das summende Band legen wollte, sagte meine Mutter: E-s r-e-i-c-h-t! Jedes Wort stieß sie knapp, atemlos heraus.
