Professor Mechoulam, Sie sollen die Wirkung von THC, dem psychoaktiven Bestandteil von Cannabis, vor Jahrzehnten am eigenen Kaffeetisch ausprobiert haben. Stimmt. Wir hatten es in seiner puren Form gerade erst isoliert, bis dahin allerdings nur an Affen getestet. Also backte Dalia, meine Frau, einen sehr leckeren Kuchen. Fünf Freunde bekamen ein normales Stück, fünf weitere eines mit THC. Bei jedem wirkte es anders. Einer lehnte sich entspannt zurück, einer prustete vor Lachen alle 15 Sekunden los, eine Frau bekam Angstzustände. Somit war klar: Es wirkt bei Menschen. Aber diese Dosis war wohl zu hoch. Sie gelten heute als der Pionier der Cannabisforschung. Warum haben Sie sich damals ausgerechnet Cannabis vorgenommen?
