Waiting game > Having decided it was time to renew my interest in shooting after a long absence, I’m starting to wish I hadn’t bothered. First, I decided to apply for both certificates together. Forms were filled out, referees found and my fee included. I posted my applications to my local licensing team, which is West Mercia and Warwickshire combined. I then prepared by buying my cabinet, joining BASC, etc. This was six months ago! I have emailed numerous times and all I get is the same automated reply. When I call, I am told that they’re still working on last year’s applications and they can’t tell me how much longer I’m going to have to wait.
